The Role and what you will bring

Our Melbourne home will be located in Fitzroy, and this is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the set up and launch of a beautiful new retail space showcasing our amazing 100% Fairtrade certified organic cotton collections.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Retail Manager with developing and motivating the team, building new relationships with our Melbourne community and managing the day to day aspects of running a retail store. If you have proven experience as an Assistant Manager, or have been in a senior retail sales role and feel ready to step up, we’d love to hear from you!

*We are open to discussing a flexible roster with candidates who have availability of 30-40 hours per week, including weekends.


The Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service and drive the development of long term customer relationships
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, and contribute to regular sales reporting
  • Support the Retail Manager with daily store operations including administration, staffing and keyholder responsibilities
  • Encourage positive team culture, consistently training and motivating the retail sales team
  • Maintain highest standard of store presentation at all times
  • Inventory management, including stocktakes, product launches, sales and seasonal store events


Skills and Experience


  • Proven experience in a similar retail role (preferably in fashion or similar industry) 
  • Team leadership and staff development skills
  • Sales driven and results orientated with a strong customer focus
  • Experience in stock management systems (preferably Cin7)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
  • Literate in Mac, Google Apps, Shopify and POS systems
  • Organised, confident and positive team player with excellent verbal and written skills
  • Available to work a flexible roster including weekends and public holidays
