Organic, Fairtrade, certified cotton forms the base of our garments along with a considered collection of trims and buttons chosen for their natural and recyclable nature, making Kowtow garments completely plastic-free. Our organic cotton is grown using non-genetically modified seeds, sans harmful chemicals.
Every Kowtow piece is made to last. And with a little care, they’ll live even longer. To ensure longevity and minimise the impact on the environment, we recommend only washing your garment when necessary - air or steam to refresh between wears.

Natural elastic
We use natural rubber, encased in organic cotton, replacing traditional synthetic elastic. Knitwear cuffs and shirred pieces feature a natural latex rubber elastic thread we developed when no natural alternative existed.

Grown using non-genetically modified seeds, sans harmful chemicals. Meaning it’s honest, organic, fully Fairtrade. Small lots are planted alongside food crops to promote soil fertility, biodiversity, and feed local farming communities.

Made from card formed from a by-product of our fabric offcuts, and connected with organic cotton cord.

Conscious colour
Our organic cotton is coloured using certified inks and dyes. Making it free from chlorine bleach, toxic heavy metals, formaldehyde and aromatic solvents. Retaining a natural fibre that’s breathable, durable and easy to care for.

Fairtrade certified since our inception in 2006, every part of our supply chain is traced from seed to garment. Independently audited and certified by the Fairtrade Labelling Organisation International (FLO), it ensures farmers are paid fairly, while working to improve sustainability, governance, inequality and community development in surrounding communities.
